Listen to the various real estate gurus, and you would swear it is impossible to sell your home these days. Hogwash! You just need to work a bit harder. Here is one trick that can get your property a ton of attention and offers. Consider for a moment retail companies. Do they just plop down their stores wherever they can and hope for the best? Of course not. They spend a lot of money analyzing the best location to grab your attention and your money. A mall is valuable to a company selling things because it brings together a group of potential customers. You might be there to buy a new pair of pants, but you inevitably end up walking into other stores. Come on. Admit it. At this point, you are probably wondering what this has to do with selling your house. It has everything to do with it if you look for a certain opportunity. While your home probably is not sitting in a spot where lots of people walk by, that may change on certain weekends. The days are getting longer and warmer. Spring is here and summer is around the corner. With warmer and longer days comes activity. If you are a little lucky, this will present you with a very unique opportunity to get your home in front of a lot of people. Spring is considered a time of renewal. Put in more practical terms, it is finally a time when you can get out of the house and stretch those legs. Entire communities come alive. They often hold weekend events, and this can be your goldmine. A community event is a huge opportunity to sell your home because of the traffic it generates. People have to park somewhere. Usually this means on street blocks. They then walk from their cars to the event. The walk from the car to the event is when you want to nab them. Make sure you have a for sale sign on your lawn with brochures. Put it next to the sidewalk. Heck, stand their and hand the brochures out. Make sure to hold an open house all day as well. Selling your home often comes down to taking advantage of the unique opportunities presented to you. If your community has some kind of event, even if it is small, you are being presented with an opportunity to get your home in front of a lot of potential buyers.
