Dallas Auto Insurance - Using Awesome Dallas Automotive Insurance Discounts To Save Dough

By: J. David Triplett

Ted Turner is a student at the University of Texas majoring in International Business. He's in his sophomore year, and he is in the market to upgrade his mode of transport from a street bike to a new Ford E-350. He recently met a girl, Sophia, which he would love to ask out for a night on the town. He's going to need a car for that.

Ted has enough dough to buy the Ford E-350 that he wants, but he is only 22 years of age, which will mean that most respective insurers will quote him a coverage policy rate that will cost him more bucks than the average driver. He recalls a Financial Responsibility class that the University offered earlier in the year where Professor Michael Miller talked about car insurance discounts for teenagers that would them to be frugal when buying a Dallas auto insurance policy.

Ted Begins His Search For Trustable Information on Automobile Insurance Discounts

Ted decides to take matters into his own hands by starting a search for trustable info sources on Dallas automobile insurer discounts. He speedily plops himself down on his bed with his laptop and connects to the wi-fi home connection. He immediately draws a blank.

He tries to think about the best place to go to get information on the subject. Almost immediately, he has an epiphany. In his Firefox browser window, he types in Google.com and navigates to the site. First he searches for "cheap auto insurance in dallas texas tx"; but that query proves worthless. Next he tries searching for "auto insurance Dallas Texas TX discounts" in the Google.com search bar.

Engagingly enough, the very first listing on Google.com is for a site named www.getaquote.com. He clicks on the link, and a page pops up with cute logo of a azure-colored car at the top-left of the page and a big burlywood box that says: Enter Your Zip Code to Get a Quote Now. "What!", he thinks to himself. "This website is just attempting the simple sales process, and I won't get any plausible info here."

Ted Finds The Dallas Chamber of Commerce Website

Feeling a bit plaintive, Ted tries to remember what was covered in the 'Financial' class he attended with Prof. Michael Miller. He remembers some uncomplicated info sources that Professor Miller mentioned, and one of them happened to be the Chamber of Commerce site for Texas. The information on this site is trustable because of the fact that the Chamber of Commerce workers are objective in their findings and articles.

With his new-found epiphany he quickly hits the 'BACK' button in the browser and is directed back to the Google.com search page. He quickly enter a new query for "Dallas Chamber of Commerce", and he is relieved to find that the top-link he clicks on features no respective advertiser advertisements, a sure sign that it is more plausible, because their upfront goal is not to take any dough from him.

After only 30 seconds of surfing through the site he finds a link with text " Texas Dept. of Insurance". Upon clicking the link he is transferred to www.tdi.state.tx.us. "Excellent" he thinks to himself a tad overjoyed, "Now I'm getting somewhere." He sees a Search Box on the site, and enters in a query for "automobile insurance discounts", and on the search page that returns he clicks ona burlywood-colored link to an internal site page.

Curiously enough after only 25 minutes of research via the Search links, he is able to come up with a few excellent car Dallas insurance discounts that are applicable to College Students. Here is what Ted finds:
1. Distant-student Discount
2. "Occasional Driver" Status Discount
3. Good Grade Discount for College Students
4. Defensive Driver Course
5. Good Grade Discount for College Students

Where to Find Trustable Agents - Dallas Yellow Pages (Automobile Insurance)

Ted thinks out loud: "Now I need to find Dallas car insurers." He remembers Prof. Miller stating that an outstanding method for conserving bucks was by getting multiple quotes - experts recommend at least 4 to 5 exceptional ones from Dallas automobile insurers.

He navigates back to Google.com and tries a search for "us auto insurance services dallas", but the search results seem insincere. Then he remembers that he had conserved an earlier search (at the Dallas Yellow Pages-Auto Inaurance website) in his Favorites folder. He found and clicked on the link and a list of Dallas car insurance companies popped up in the browser. He knew that it was preferred to talk to an agent over the phone, versus signing up online, because he would need to discuss which teenager Discounts they offered.

Engagingly enough, if he were to sign up online, he would be unable to individually apply for each of the College Student discounts, so it was an outstanding solution to call an agent directly.

Sweet Success - Ted Saves Some Dough

After about a week, Ted got back his quotes from the 5 Precarious insurers he applied to. To see just how much money the teenager discounts ended up conserving him, he asked each insuring agency to provide him with 2 quotes: one quote price using the College Student discounts, and one quote without using the excellent discounts. Amazingly, with one agency the savings-difference between the 2 quotes was $291! And even more Excellent, with another the savings-difference was $347! "Totally Great!" he exclaimed out loud. "I am sure glad that I decided to execute watchful, bright shopping tactics in my search for Dallas automobile insurance.
