Ted Simmons is a student at the University of Texas majoring in International Business. A freshman student at UT, and he is in the market to upgrade his mode of transport from a street bike to a new Honda S2000. He recently met a girl, Rebecca, which he would love to ask out for a night on the town. In order to increase his chances of her saying yes he is going to need a car. Ted has enough money to buy the Honda S2000 that he wants, but he is only 22 years of age, which will mean that most uncommon insurers will quote him a coverage policy rate that will cost him more money than the average driver. Ted attended a 'Financial Planning' class earlier in the year taught by Prof. Jacob Gorman where the professor covered great ways for teenagers to save money by using Local Dallas Insurers' Auto Insurance Discounts. Part 2: Ted Decides to search for Citytrustworthy Car Insurance Discount Information Ted decides to take matters into his own hands by starting a search for honest info sources on Dallas automobile insurer discounts. So he promptly grabs his Apple PowerMac and sits down on his bed. Then he draws a blank. "Where should I look first for information?" he asks himself. His mental gears go into action, and he suddenly has an idea. He opens up is Safari internet browser and navigates to AOL.com. His first attempt is to search for the term "cheap auto insurance in dallas texas tx", but after perusing the listings he decides that a more appropriate search term for AOL.com is "auto insurance Dallas Texas TX discounts". Amazingly, the top listing that AOL.com returns is from www.carinsurance.com. Ted clicks on the link and is directed to home page with a sky blue-colored automobile logo up top, and a huge magnolia section below that says: Looking For an Auto Quote? Enter Your Zip Code Now! "Oh Great" he immediately thinks. "This page has nothing to do with auto insurance discounts. What a Crock!" Ted Finds The Dallas Chamber of Commerce Website Feeling a bit disappointed, Ted tries to remember what was covered in the 'Financial' class he attended with Prof. Jacob Gorman. Ted remembers the teacher mentioning some unambiguous websites to use for brilliant information, one of which happens to be the Texas Chamber of Commerce website. The Chamber of Commerce site can be judged more honest because it employs un-prejudiced authors for article generation. He hits the Back button in the browser, and goes back to the AOL.com Search page. He enters in "Dallas Chamber of Commerce", and then clicks on the top link that returns. He is taken to www.dallaschamber.org, and is relieved to find zero uncommon advertisements, which - in his mind - means that the site is more trustworthy because they aren't trying to get any money from him. He clicks on a few links, and finally finds a link entitled "Texas Department of Insurance". He clicks on the link and thinks to himself "Outstanding!" He is a tad happy because he feels his search is finally coming to fruition. He sees a Search Box on the site, and enters in a query for "automobile insurance discounts", and on the search page that returns he clicks ona magnolia-colored link to an internal site page. Interestingly enough after only 25 minutes of research via the Search links, he is able to come up with a few impressive auto Dallas insurance discounts that are applicable to Teens. Here is what Ted finds: 1. Good Grade Discount for Teens 2. Distant-student Discount 3. "Occasional Driver" Status Discount 4. Defensive Driver Course 5. Good Grade Discount for Teens Where to Find Qualified Agents - Dallas Yellow Pages (Car Insurance) "The next step is to find auto Dallas insurers" Ted thinks. Remembering one of the more fitting topics covered in the 'Financial" class, he recalls the teacher stating that an unparalleled way to conserve money was to get more than one quote - at least 4 different quotes from Dallas automobile insurers. So Ted navigates the browser back to AOL.com and attempts a search for "us auto insurance services dallas", but he is turned off because the results seem relatively dishonest. Recalling an earlier success he had finding agents, he visited the Dallas Yellow Pages-Auto Insurance page he had saved in his Favorites folder, and a list of all local Dallas auto insurance agents popped up in the browser. He knew that it was more fitting to talk to an agent over the phone, versus signing up online, because he would need to discuss which teenager Discounts they offered. Amazingly, if he were to sign up online, he would be unable to individually apply for each of the Teen discounts, so it was an unparalleled solution to call an agent directly. Ted Preserves Money On His Auto Policy Quote After just 5 days, Ted was able to get back all the 'quote responses' from each of the 5 Uncommon insurers that he applied to. To test out the power of the teenager discounts, he asked each insurer to give him 2 quick quotes: one quote price using the Teen discounts, and one quote without using the impressive discounts. With one insurer the price difference was $277! With another insurer it was $339! "Excellent!" he exclamed, "I guess being perceptive & brilliant in my search for Dallas automobile insurance was the great decision."
